Hari Raya Party at Rashid's

This weekend the Hari Raya party (open house) was at Rashid’s, one of the architects at Arkitek Kitas. Amy and Chris once again were our escorts and transportation. After driving around in circles for a little while we found Rashid’s house in the relatively new subdivision Aman Damai (which roughly translates to World Peace.) The houses in the subdivision are all “link houses”, kind of like town homes we have in the States. Rashid's beautiful home featured a Koi pond with waterfall adjacent to the shaded, cool front patio.

Again we were treated to a bountiful spread of tasty Malay dishes. Hari Raya is a great holiday! A whole month of eating excellent food and visiting with friends and family – what’s not to love?
